Mr. Gagliano's current hardware of choice for all around performing is a restored Conn 88H (circa 1970), rebuilt by Dick Akright of Best Repair in Oakland CA.  With a custom ultra-thin laquerless rose bell, original traditional rotor valve and closed wrap, combined with a Greg Black-Joseph Alessi 3.5M Signature Series mouthpiece, this combination provides the ultimate in brightness, color, responsiveness, and projection throughout all registers.
